You know, that conversation, the one that makes you feel really old. Mine was yesterday, following a thread about Brandon winning an award at school and went a little something like this:
Brandon's trainer/tutor, Lonnie: I remeber that, back in the day. Like 1992.
Me: Wait, you were in elementary school in 1992?
Lonnie: Yeah, I got done with elementary in 1998. I'm 20.
Me: God, I feel old.
Lonnie: Why?
Me: I graduated college in 1994.
Lonnie: What? Really?
Brandon: She's 35. My Dad's even older. He's like 38.
Lonnie: Seriously? You look much younger than 35.
Me: Thanks, because I suddenly feel much older.
So know I feel a bit awkward, sitting across the table from my son's {teacher}, knowing that I'm technically old enough to be his mother, had I been an early bloomer (which honestly, would've taken social skills that I probably still don't have).
