The Meadows Place police department and Meadows Elementary make a big deal out of the DARE program, which, as a parent, makes me happy, especially since most of the schools in the distrtic don't participate. Starting in the fall, the 5th grade class has a weekly DARE class, including homework, research and essays. Friday was their graduation from the program, complete with color guard presented by the scouts, commencement ceremony, diploma certificate and reception. Just another one of those small town things that we love at Meadows Place.
