Rick had been wanting to stop at Crater of the Moon National Monument for awhile, so we headed over for a morning of windy hiking. Lots of volcanic rocks, and unfortunately for the boys, you can't climb on any of them. Still, it was a fun morning, complete with a nice steep climb to the top of a cone for a windy view. Then it was back down to the Salt Lake area where we stopped in at Eccles Dinosaur Park. The boys and I had been there in 2001 during our Utah vacation (Rick missed the park because he had to fly back to Houston for a meeeting). It's a great kid's park with life size dinosaur statues, and they've really added to it since we were there last. Really recommend it. Then we played in the pool at the hotel and flew home the next day.
And that's the official vacation wrap-up!
