I guess this would technically make him a peeping Jacob. He loves playing outside, but it's even better if he can also watch a video through the window or screen door.

Our neighbor decided that our bear needed a little decoration for the holidays. At least she warned me ahead of time, at least.

Not a very good pic, but a good representative of Jacob right now. He wasn't all that happy that I wouldn't let him take his music players to school. He's still having issues with being overly aggressive with other students, but we're working on it. He is still saying "Oh my goodness! The goose, he laid 7 golden eggs! 1,2,3,4,5,6,7! Seven glistening, golden eggs, we're rich, we're rich!" It's from a Barney video. Except he has expanded it to include other countable things, like eggs in the pan, chicken in the pan, pumpkins on the counter, shoes on the floor, etc. It kind of puts it in perspective when he says, "5 chickens in the pot, we're rich, we're rich!" because it is kind of a reminder that we do have it a lot easier than a lot of people right now. My favorite? We were at Michaels and he was looking at the stamps, and he started counting heart stamps, saying "1,2,3,4 hearts, we're rich, we're rich" Ah, yes we are.

Father and son bonding time, reading the paper while cooking bacon for breakfast on the last day before Rick went out of town for 5 days.
