We Made It!

On Tuesday we had the "graduation ceremony" for Learning Rx, where Brandon had 6 months of "brain training" to help with his spelling and auditory processing. It seems like his spelling is a little better, but not much. His exit testing shows gains in all areas they tested, so maybe I'm just picky.

The entire time we were going there, Brandon fussed about going in. This time, he was out of the car and in the door before we even got our seatbelts off. First thing he did was challenge Cassandra, the head trainer, to a BrainCards duel. He almost beat her. She is the only one that he can't beat.

During the ceremony, each trainer with a student graduating presented the student with a small gift card, a diploma and test results. This is Brandon's trainer, Lonnie. I think we got really lucky in that they really just clicked and Brandon was mostly willing to do the work for him. It was kind of nice of Lonnie to single me out during the ceremony as an "awesome parent that went above and beyond" their requirements.
So now, we have 6 hours free during the afternoons, which Brandon is absolutely loving. I just need to convince him that he will survive if he missed afternoon cartoons.
