Jacob had two field trips this week. The first was a community outing to the grocery store followed by a picnic in the park. The information they presented would have been good for normal 3-4 graders, but it was completely lost on this group. The park was nice, but it was so stinking hot. After eating and playing on the playground (where our class scared away the "normal" kids), it was time to drag 13 special needs kids on a 1 mile hike. In 90 degree heat with high humidity. Not our best plan. Jacob was so worn out he was asking for bed at 4:30, and then sat there crying "the end!" when he was told he had to wait until closer to bedtime. Poor guy.
