This was a bit different, since it was an evening docking (4pm-10pm) instead of a morning docking. The boys and I didn't have a shore excursion, so we just walked around the town for about an hour and then went back on the ship, since the boys were most definitely not in the mood to be walking up and down hills. Prince Rupert was completely different than the other stops, since it was a working class town that has no desire to become a tourist spot. They get 2-3 ships in a week, rather than the 2-4 a day that the other ports get. We were the only ship there, so it was a lot less crowded, as well. Why Prince Rupert? It has something to do with needing a non-US destination for a cruise to comply with some sort of law (which is why if you take a Hawaiin cruise, you have to spend 2 days cruising over to the Republic of Kiribati and back).
