I've never really paid attention to when the dragonflies come out to play, but I've sure noticed it this year. I can literally stand in my backyard garden and have my pick of 6-7 different colored photo subjects without moving. Some are hesitant when you approach, but most of them just sit there and watch you. Some of these pictures were taken without the zoom, and a couple of them were taken from less than 6 inches away. Brandon is really good at standing real still next to a plant with his finger out and waiting for a dragonfly to come over and land on his finger. Butterflies like him, too. It's like he's a bug whisperer or something.
