"Zoo! Z-O-O, Zoo!"

Normally, trips to the zoo run pretty smoothly. Take our normal route, park, go in, enjoy. This was not a normal day. Construction in the area got me turned around, but we still got there at 10:45 (the zoo opens at 10am). It was packed. The parking lot was full. Both overflow lots were full. The museum parking garage was full. We finally found on street parking and made it in and shouldered our way through the crowds. Did you know meerkats bark? I didn't, either. Confused poor Jacob, he was looking around for a dog.

Oh, for cute!
Total blunder on mom's part--not realizing that the camel was perhaps the one animal on the carousel that doesn't move up and down. Jacob felt gypped and wasn't shy about letting me know, either.
