Water Dog

When we first got to the secret fishing hole, Jacob had no interest in getting out of the car, which suited Rick fine, because then he could stay in the car and work while "supervising" Jacob. After awhile, Jacob decided he might want to go in the water, so Rick changed him into swim trunks and took him down from where the others were fishing. Oddly enough, our water bug didn't want to actually get in the water. After awhile, Rick tossed him into the knee deep water, just to see what he'd do. He looked at Rick with a WTF look and climbed back out, and then put his hands on his hips, stood with his toes curling over the edge of the bank, and waited for Rick to push him in again. This went on for 10 or so minutes, until Jacob declared himself done.

Jacob changed back into regular clothes but then randomly decided that lunch time seemed like a good time to check the water out in earnest.

After another change back into his swim trunks, he was a happy camper and splashed and doggy paddled around in the water. We thought about throwing some sticks out just to see if he would go get them, but even we have limits.
