In the past we've either carved the pumpkins or painted them. When I saw these face pieces, I thought they were cute (cough*less messy*cough). Brandon got to go first and did a pretty cute one. We had to use a sharp prong to make a starter hole but after that, even Jacob could push the pieces in. Jacob picked his pieces, part by part, naming them and then pointing to his own face before showing me where to put the hole. Brandon got a kick out of the pumpkins "bleeding" from their poke holes.
