Today was the annual trek to the mall to have their picture taken with Santa. Brandon still clings to the belief that Santa is real, but I wonder how much of it is the fear that there will no longer be stockings if he lets on that he knows the truth. We had less than a five minute wait before it was our turn and as soon as we got within 5 feet of the bearded man, Jacob pointed to him and let out a hearty "Ho, Ho, Ho!", which earned him a chuckle from Santa, which earned Santa another rounding of ho-ing. Very cute. Cooperation, not so much. It didn't help that the girl taking the pictures would say cheese, Jacob would smile, she would adjust the camera, then take the picture. Very frustrating, but after about 5 tries, she snarked an exasperated, "Last one!" and this is what we ended up with. Brandon was quite disappointed that I wouldn't let him wear shorts for the picture, but somehow that just wouldn't look right.
