First Skeeters Game

Sugar Land, one of the towns by us, got a minor league baseball team and the City of Meadows Place parks and rec department organized a night out at the ballgame. Rick agreed to go to humor me, since I love going to ball games...and he hates it. Sadly, yes, they are the Sugar Land Skeeters, with a mosquito mascot. Constellation Field is a pretty nice little ball park, and the restroom signs cracked me up:

As we were waiting for the game to start, we looked over and realized that the Meadows Place cub scout troop was going to be presenting the colors, which meant, yep, there's my friend Terri. Brandon went to say hi.

Pregame entertainment was a gymnastics company and a dance troup.

By the 9th inning, the score was tied and Rick was praying that anyone would score a run so he didn't have to stay longer. He's fickle like that. There had been off and on rain to that point (our seats were covered), and we were also under a tornado watch, so...he had a point. The Skeeters managed to score another run with one out left, so yay us.

Happy fireworks, before we made the 10 minute drive home. We were in the house for all of 5 minutes before the hail started, so good timing on our part. We ended up getting 5 1/2 inches between 10 pm and 4am, which meant no sleep for the momma.
