"Why do we have to take these pictures every year?"
For the first time ever...matching shoes. Brandon had already picked his on a previous trip, and after many, many trips to many, many stores, we finally had to settle for shoes with ties and these were the only ones he would put on. Size 7 mens for Brandon, size 8 mens for Jacob.
New, green Swiss Army backpack for Brandon, same old purple backpack for Jacob. He did try and pick out a new one, but the one he insisted he wanted was lavender...with puppies. Brandon begged me not to get it for him, because it was "embarrassing." Sorry Jacob, no puppies.
Brandon chose his new Alcatraz Swim Team t-shirt from San Francisco to wear. Notice the sunburn? Scout camping trip at Lake Livingston the day before school started. Lots of time tubing and such on the lake meant one nice sunburn for pictures.
Jacob chose his new muppets t-shirt. Dad and Brandon think it's creepy. I actually have a picture from Jacob's 3rd birthday, banging on drums with pretty much the same expression.
"Ok, together now. Stand close together. Smile! Jacob look here. Put your paper down."
I guess that was the wrong answer.
