We skipped right by the USS Lexington since Jacob was more than ready for "wado!" The water was nice and warm (almost like lukewarm bathwater) and the waves nice and fast, just like my guys like it. After about an hour, Jacob decided that he was done and started walking back to the hotel. Apparently he had a bunch of sand where you don't want a bunch of beach sand. Brandon and Rick stayed for a little longer, until Brandon rode out pretty far on Rick's back and made a, uh, friend. As in a jellyfish decided to come up and say hi. Or get the hell out of my water, depending on your point of view. Within an hour (after a dose of benadryl and tylenol) he was ok and didn't even feel it. The next day, he was hesitant to go back until we pointed out that the best way to get revenge on the mean jellyfish was to just go back and have fun. So we went back out, but were disappointed that there were absolutely no waves; it was pretty much like playing in a lake. Twenty minutes later, Rick says, hey there's a jellyfish swimming right here, so we move a little further down and I see something floating in the water. Brandon informs me that it's not a jellyfish, it's a piece of plastic floating in the water. And of course, I believed him. Until 2 minutes later when I was happily handing him a shark tooth that I found when the piece of "plastic" decided to check out my leg. #$#%#@! things hurt. So now it was my turn for benadryl and tylenol. Rick and Jacob? Those chickens decided to get while the getting was good. (well, not really. Rick had to forcibly remove Jacob from the water, since he probably would've decided to try and chew on one.)
